- The System of National Accounts (SNA) is a statistical framework that provides a comprehensive set of financial statements of the national economy to record the economic activities by all economic agents in a country. The United Nations published the first guidelines on the SNA in 1953 and revised them in 1968, 1993, and 2008
* The accrual basis accounting was introduced in the 1993 SNA - In addition to general government statistics that include the central and local governments, the public sector statistics that include public institutions have been recommended since the 2008 SNA. Korea has published the public sector statistics based on the SNA standards since 2014
